Submit a Payment
- The Parking Violations Bureau accepts mail-in payments by check, money order, and cashier's check.
- Payment must be made in U.S. currency.
- Please include your citation number(s) on your check, money order, or cashier's check. DO NOT send cash or credit card numbers through the mail.
- If payment is not received on or before the due date as required by California Vehicle Code section 40309, late penalty fees and additional sanctions will be assessed.
Request Installment Payment Plan
- Payment plans are available for indigent and eligible low-income motorists whose financial situation qualifies them under the Federal guidelines.
Request an Initial Review
- You may request an Initial Review by filling out the Initial Review form or by submitting a letter that clearly states the reasons why you feel the citation was unfairly issued, and it will be used as the basis for your contest.
- Upon completion of the review, a decision will be rendered and you will be notified of the result by mail.
Request an Administrative Hearing
- If you are not satisfied with the results of the Initial Review, you may request an Administrative Hearing by submitting a completed Hearing Request Form.
- When you request a hearing, you may also submit additional supporting document and/or evidence to be reviewed at the hearing.
- You may apply for a Pre-Payment Waiver by submitting a completed application, along with all required supporting documentation. Failure to provide supporting documentation will result in your Pre-Payment Waiver being automatically denied. ALL approvals or denials of Pre-Payment Waivers will be in writing and mailed to the contestant. The decision rendered on the Pre-Payment Waiver is final and cannot be further disputed.
Submit Other Complaints
- File a complaint about a traffic officer’s conduct, by submitting a completed Officer Complaint Form, telling us why you believe the officer’s conduct was unprofessional or inappropriate.
- You may file a complaint about customer service by submitting a completed Customer Service Complaint Form, telling us how our service did not meet your expectations.
