Payment By Mail
Depending upon the type of citation you received, you were either provided with a pre-addressed payment envelope or the citation itself functions as a payment envelope. If you do not have a payment envelope, send your payment to the following address:
Parking Violations Bureau
P.O. Box 30420
Los Angeles, CA 90030
The above address is intended for citation payments only. All other correspondence should be sent to the address provided in the Contesting A Citation section of this website.
The Parking Violations Bureau accepts mailed in payments by check, money order, and cashier's check. Payments must be made in U.S. currency. Place your citation number(s) on your check or money order. Please DO NOT send cash or credit card numbers through the mail.
For your convenience, the Parking Violations Bureau provides a payment coupon with each notice mailed. If you have received a notice, please return the attached payment coupon along with your payment. This will ensure that your payment is processed accurately.
Per California Vehicle Code section 40204, if you pay your citation without contesting at the same time, your citation will be closed and you will not be able to contest your citation. Click contest a citation if you would like to contest your citation now. Please note that you are not required to pay your citation in order to contest.
